1. About Axendra

Axendra helps you build a personal, source-backed Cognitive Map and use it when thinking through decisions. Your personal insights, questions, notes, highlights, reflections, and imported material are private by default. Content appears in the community only when you explicitly choose to submit it and it is approved.

2. Information we process

We process account and authentication information, including your email address, authentication identifier, and session information. We process profile information you choose to provide, such as a display name, biography, gender selection, and avatar. We also process the content you intentionally create, add, share, or import, including insights, explanations, categories, evidence, questions for Ask, selected reading material, notes, highlights, reflections, and source metadata.

If you use an import or AI feature, the material needed for that request is processed through Axendra's backend and may be sent to configured AI providers to extract, review, translate, or generate the requested result. Private content is not made public merely because it is processed for a feature you requested.

3. How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, provide and secure your account, sync your Cognitive Map, provide imports and AI features you request, show source/evidence relationships, support approved community features, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Apple processes in-app subscription payments. Axendra does not receive or store your payment-card number. RevenueCat helps us receive subscription and entitlement status from Apple so we can provide paid features and restore access. Our server uses the verified subscription entitlement, not a client-side switch, to control AI features that require a subscription.

5. Optional analytics

Analytics is optional. Core features work whether you allow or decline it, and you can change the choice in the app. When you opt in, Axendra may send a pseudonymous account identifier and a limited allowlisted set of product-use events to PostHog. We disable session replay, geo-IP lookup, push-subscription capture, and default device/person-property collection in our analytics configuration.

Analytics never includes your email address, display name, private questions, insights, reasoning, notes, highlights, reflections, imported text, direct-message content, source URLs, API keys, tokens, or avatar files. For consented subscription lifecycle measurement, we record only a lifecycle event (trial start, first renewal, expiration, or successful restore) and whether it occurred in a sandbox or production environment. We do not send amount, currency, product/package/offering ID, transaction ID, receipt, or payment-card information to PostHog.

6. Sharing and service providers

We use service providers to operate Axendra, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions; configured AI providers for requested AI features; PostHog for optional analytics; RevenueCat and Apple for subscriptions; and user-directed import services where applicable. We do not sell personal information or use your private content for advertising.

7. Retention, deletion, and your choices

You can change optional analytics in the app. You can delete your account from the app; see Delete your Axendra account for instructions if you cannot access the app. Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated personal data, including profile, private Cognitive Map content, account-owned community contributions, messages, and uploaded avatar, subject only to limited records we must retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
