1. Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your use of Axendra. By creating an account, using Axendra, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and, when you use community features, the Community Rules and Reporting Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Axendra.
2. The service and your account
Axendra provides tools for building a personal Cognitive Map, importing material you choose, requesting AI-assisted features, and, only when you choose to submit it, participating in a moderated community. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity performed through your account. Provide accurate account information and do not use Axendra where you are not legally permitted to do so.
3. Your content stays private unless you choose to share it
Your personal insights, questions, notes, highlights, reflections, and imported material are private by default. We do not make them public merely because you use an import or AI feature. A contribution can appear in the community only when you expressly submit it and it passes Axendra's review process.
4. Your rights and licence to operate Axendra
You retain any rights you hold in the content you create or provide. To operate Axendra, you grant Axendra a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, reproduce, format, process, transmit, and display your content only as needed to provide, secure, improve, and support the service you request. This includes sharing the minimum necessary material with our service providers, such as hosting and configured AI providers, to perform a requested feature.
For a contribution you explicitly submit to the community, you additionally grant Axendra a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, display, distribute, reproduce, format, translate, and make that contribution available to community users as part of Axendra. This public-content licence ends when we remove the contribution or you delete your account, except for limited copies retained for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup cycles, and for material other users lawfully quoted or saved before removal.
5. Content you import or share
You represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions, or other legal basis to import, submit, share, or request processing of content through Axendra. Do not upload, reproduce, or publicly submit copyrighted text, notes, annotations, trademarks, personal information, or other material unless you own it, have permission, or another legal basis applies. Kindle, WeRead, document, and other third-party-service imports are user-directed convenience features; they do not grant you rights in third-party content and do not make Axendra affiliated with those services. Use them only in a manner permitted by the applicable service terms and law.
6. AI-assisted features
AI-assisted output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. It is not professional legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or other regulated advice. You remain responsible for reviewing output and for decisions you make. AI features may require an active Axendra Pro subscription and may be unavailable, limited, changed, or withdrawn to protect users or the service.
7. Subscriptions and Apple billing
Where offered, Axendra Pro is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple controls payment processing, billing, refunds where applicable, cancellation, and subscription management. Your plan, trial eligibility, price, renewal period, and renewal date are shown by Apple at purchase. You may manage or cancel an Apple subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. We use subscription entitlement status to control paid AI features; no client-side setting alone grants paid access.
For subscriptions and purchases made through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Axendra; bypass access controls; scrape or automate access without permission; interfere with the service; impersonate others; upload malware; violate law or third-party rights; or use the service to harass, threaten, deceive, exploit, or harm others. Additional rules for public contributions are in the Community Rules.
9. Moderation, reports, and enforcement
Community submissions may be reviewed before publication and may be removed, limited, or preserved for investigation. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, abuse, security risks, or legal obligations. To report community content or conduct, use the process in the Community Rules and Reporting Policy. We do not guarantee that all objectionable material will be detected or removed immediately.
10. Intellectual property complaints
If you believe public Axendra content infringes your rights, contact axendra.support@gmail.com with the subject “Axendra intellectual property complaint,” the content location or a screenshot, a description of your rights, your contact information, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorised. We may request more information and may remove or restrict the content while we review the report.
11. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by law, Axendra is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that content or AI output is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Axendra changes. The current version will be posted on this page. For support, legal requests, or questions, contact axendra.support@gmail.com.
